Solar Protection Plan
Your solar system is an investment. Our Solar Protection Plan helps ensure it continues producing power safely and efficiently for years to come.
For about $1 per day, Boss Energy monitors your system and performs routine inspections to catch issues early and protect your investment.
What's Included
Monthly System Monitoring
We review your system’s performance every month to verify that it is producing power normally.
Monitoring includes:
- Production performance review
- Alert and fault monitoring
- Identification of abnormal production
- Customer notification if issues are detected (Active monitoring account required)

Annual On-Site System Health Check
Once per year, a Boss Energy technician will perform a professional inspection of your system including:
- Inverter inspection
- AC/DC disconnects
- Electrical connections
- Conduit and wiring checks
- Breakers and fuses
- Visual inspection beneath panels
- Overall system safety review
This proactive inspection helps identify small issues before they become expensive problems

Boss Energy is trained and certified to work with all major solar system manufacturers, and our experienced field technicians have comprehensive knowledge of solar and battery systems. Whether your system has stopped producing, is reporting errors, or simply needs a professional evaluation, our team will identify the issue and provide clear solutions.

Module Level Diagnostics:
If you feel like your solar panels are not producing the same or lower than others in the array, we can check to see if modules are producing within their warranty.
Module Level Inverter (MicroInverter) Diagnostics:
If your solar array is showing non-working or malfunctioning panels, it could be the MicroInverter or Optimizer connected to the panel that has malfunctioned. We can perform the necessary test and work with the Manufacturer to get the part replaced and running quickly.
Wiring Damage (Critter Damage to Roof Wires):
Solar systems are susceptible to critter damage from nesting animals like squirrels and birds. If you suspect you have unwelcome guests underneath your solar system, give us a call to help remediate and solve the problem!
Full System Outages:
Is your entire system down? Our service technicians can help by performing a full outage investigation to get your solar system backup and running quickly!
Reconnect Communications:
If your solar equipment has recently stopped communicating, let us diagnose your system and provide recommended steps. Communication allows your and service providers to better troubleshoot systems. Without communications established, homeowners can expect delayed corrections, diagnosis, and repairs.
Solar System Remove and Replace:
Whether you need to remove solar panels for a new roof, or your roof experienced damage that needs to be repaired, Boss Energy can work with you and your contractor to get your solar system removed and replaced efficiently and correctly. We take the time to inspect all mounts, remap your solar system, and make sure the system is working properly before we leave!
